The Internet, somewhat predictably, lost its mind, and the comments are as thirsty as you'd expect, with the 8,000 comments and counting ranging from "I wish I was a chair" to "the autopsy said that the cause of my death was this picture." This marks the second racy instance in as many weeks of One Direction members going viral, although this tasteful black-and-white nude is probably going to cause less controversy than the Louis/Harry slashfic fantasy sequence on HBO's Euphoria .
It's not the first time Alas has shared a photo of Payne on his own Instagram, although previous posts have included more in the way of clothes - which is probably helpful when you're working on advertising a fashion designer.

Last month, Payne opened up in an interview with Men's Health Australia about what it was like being a part of the global pop culture phenomenon that was One Direction. And while he said that his experience was "an absolute blast," he also recalled there were times when it also bordered on "toxic" which exacerbated his anxiety:
"Its difficult when you have the level of fame that we had in the band. There have been a lot of people in trouble with mental health that arent really getting the help that they need and I think thats a bit of a problem in our industry. Its the same shit that happens to everyone, thats been happening since the 70s. You know what the traps are and if you are lucky enough, like me, to be able to get out of that scenario and back into a sense of normality, then you know its a bit different.
Payne also spoke about how exercise helps him with his mental health - and judging from the fan reaction to those glutes, it's paying off.
