Wii U Specs Disclosed, Including 25GB Optical Discs

Don’t call it Blu-ray, but Blu-ray-like will do. Sites like Blu-ray.com sure got it wrong mid-April when they reported Nintendo’s next console would include a Blu-ray optical drive, but the gist of that rumor turns out to be half-true: mass storage several times greater than DVD’s increasingly constrained gigabyte maximum, only in a proprietary format. Try up to 25GB, which just so happens to be Blu-ray’s single-layer maximum, too. (More on TIME.

Eugene Smith’s shot of an ebullient Truman holding aloft a copy of the Chicago Tribune emblazoned with the now-legendary (erroneous) headline: DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN. The reason for the picture’s immortality? It’s not the headline itself—although that titanic error is, in its own way, rather marvelous.

Avatar: The Last Airbender Is a Love Letter to Asian Cultures

While fictional fantasy series transport viewers to impossible worlds full of magic and mysticism, they also tend to look an awful lot like medieval Europe.
